What does this do? It helps to remove the side-to-side play and slack in thru-spindle bottom brackets, to help maximise the life of your bottom bracket bearing, as well as giving you a creak-free ride. (You will not need a spacer ring.)\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eReinstall the crankset to the bike.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eUnscrew the Preload Ring in the direction the arrows shows until it touches the bottom bracket bearing. This does not need to be tight, just enough to stop the crankset from moving.\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTighten the stainless bolt to 1Nm torque with a 2mm Hex Key\u003c\/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eGive the cranks a spin to ensure everything is moving smoothly.
